Literature Text

Close your eyes and remember, child
remember the days you spent running
across vast magpie sand seas wondering
about the draconic green horse from
your dreams.

Remember the power in every cresting
wave beneath your surfboard and never
forget the salty kiss of the sea lingering on
your trembling lips and tongue for there is an
ocean brewing beneath your ribs and a sailor's
blood in your veins because you are the daughter
of the seven seas and all these monsters and lost
souls locked away in your depths meaning nothing
to me.
Note to self:

You are the orcas and great white sharks
that traverse these great ocean blues,
your are the depths the light of day
can't touch;

You are the arms that cradle and
bring the seas together as one,
Mère de tous.

Ehh...
I really hate my keyboard.
Spent the day at Old Orchard with my rugrat and the fam. While we were waiting for our food, we watched the carousel in front of us and reminisced on the times I used to ride it when I was younger. I guess I rode the pegasus, and my little brother rode the chicken (I think he meant rooster) - he's not little anymore. Tonight I was reminded, watching this green draconic/horse-like animal, of one of two occasions that I clearly remember; even then I used to wonder what exactly the creature was. Now that I'm older, I think it's either a hippocampus or a dragon of some kind.
To be honest, I miss those days.
(By the way, the last piece of the mini poem seen above roughly translates to "Mother of All" in French.)
